Rehabilitation of people with serious diabilities
In the scope of SAGE Net the co-operation and further development of the rehabilitation of people with serious disabilities is in process. Thus the Lebenshilfe/ Berlin planned  internships and an exchange of qualified emloyees.

Intention & Goal:

Even though there is a limit of recourses the rehabilitation of people with serous disabilities is possible. On the german side a wide range of exoeriences of rehabiltation methods exist, so an exchange and transfer of elements of the rehabilitation methods can be quite productive. But because of the different cultural context, a modification of those elements is necessary.

Methods:
Learning through comparison, internships, intercultural exchange, a period of intensive preparation, interviews with experts, direct contact to young people and their families, photo- documentation.

In August 2005, 2 qualified employees took part in the internship programme and stayed for a duration of one month in Berlin. The next internship is planned for 2007.
