We are happy to finally present you the result of long work: our own cookbook with South African and German recipes for our SAGE Net community. The cookbook is available now.
The creation process
In March 2021, we started the production of our cookbook together with the volunteers of the class of 2020/21, who could not start their voluntary service due to the pandemic. The following month, Tamara joined the cookbook team, who from then on brought many new recipe ideas from years of experience in cooking classes. Tamara is a long-time SAGE Net member and is involved in various tasks of the association.
The “summer hole” in 2021 not only brought the political world to a standstill, but also led to a summer break within the cookbook AG. In the fall of 2021, the change of the 2020/21 volunteers to the 2021/22 volunteers led to a new constellation in the cookbook team. Hanna, one of our 2020/21 volunteers, decided to remain a part of the cookbook AG and thus continues to be an important constant within the AG. Thanks to her, we now have the perspective of a publication of the book before Easter 2022. In the phase of the conception of the cookbook, all Sageneties were always involved, be it for recipe suggestions or for cooking the already existing recipes. This energetic spoon-waving has enabled us to produce a cookbook that gives the reader an appetite just by opening the first page of the book. Now we are entering the final spurt and putting in extra shifts to finally finish the cookbook this spring.

The cookbook will initially be published as a ring binder in black and white. In the next few weeks, a color ebook will also be released.
